McDonough Chapter

Chapter Slogan: Real Moms, Real talks and Real Support

The McDonough Chapter was created to provide connection, encouragement, emotional support, and community for autism moms, special needs moms, and caregivers seeking a safe space and genuine sisterhood.

Conveniently located in the heart of Henry County, the chapter serves families throughout the surrounding communities, including Stockbridge, Hampton, and Locust Grove, creating opportunities for local connection, support, and meaningful relationships.

Meet Your McDonough Chapter President

My name is Hannah McCrary, and I am honored to be a part of this
incredible community of mothers who understand both the beauty and the
challenges of raising children on the autism spectrum.

I am a devoted mom, educator, advocate, and woman of faith. My journey
into the autism community began through my own experience raising my
amazing son on the spectrum. Like many of you, I've navigated
diagnoses, therapies, IEP meetings, celebrations, setbacks, and
countless moments of learning and growth. Through it all, my faith in
God has remained my foundation, giving me strength, wisdom, and hope
during every season.

Professionally, I have dedicated my career to serving children and
families through education. I have worked as a teacher, interrelated
paraprofessional, and student support professional, helping children
with diverse learning needs reach their fullest potential. My
experiences in both the classroom and at home have deepened my passion
for advocacy, inclusion, and ensuring every child has the opportunity
to thrive.

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is that no mother should have
to walk this journey alone. This community is a place where we can
share resources, celebrate victories, offer encouragement, and support
one another without judgment. Whether you are newly navigating an
autism diagnosis or have years of experience, you belong here.

I want to personally welcome you to our community. My hope is that you
find connection, understanding, friendship, and empowerment among
other mothers who truly understand this unique journey. Together, we
can learn from one another, lift each other up, and continue
advocating for our incredible children.

Thank you for being here. I look forward to connecting with each of
you and growing together as we support our children and celebrate all
that makes them extraordinary.

With love and gratitude,

Hannah McCrary
